VIETNAM Adventure – 15 DAYS / 14 NIGHTS
Vietnam is home to some of Asia’s most vivid and exciting terrain, supported by a unique biodiversity and, for most of the year, a gloriously warm and pleasant climate. From the northern mountain town of Sapa to the Mekong Delta in the south, its varied landscape features a wealth of historic settlements, ancient wonders and simply breathtaking vistas.
Our Adventurous Vietnam tour takes you from Hanoi up to the Chinese border, immersing in the exquisite culture of those minorities who call these rugged region home. Communities thrive here and the markets are more vibrant and colorful than most others. A combination of trekking and traversing the extensive valleys by 4-wheels will reveal this beautiful region in its entirety.
Winding our way south we embark on a cycling tour of Hue, overnight cruise in Halong Bay and walking tour of Hoi An amongst other adventurous pursuits as we uncover Vietnam from head to tail.
Tour Schedule
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Picked up from the airport and transferred to hotel for a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Full Day Hanoi City Tour
Visit a number of historical sites in Hanoi on a full day city tour.
Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Giang
Head north to Ha Giang and explore local cultures close to the China border. The landscape here is quite stunning.
Day 4: Ha Giang – Hoang Su Phi
We visit local markets around the Chay River Massif where it is possible to also see the regions extensive tea farms.
Day 5: Hoang Su Phi – Sapa
Take a walking tour through local communities in Sapa and admire the area’s fascinating mountain scenery.
Day 6: Sapa Trekking – Night train to Hanoi
Depart on a day of trekking through stunning rice paddies in the Muong Hoa Valley, stopping at ethnic minority villages on the way.
Day 7: Arrive to Hanoi – Halong Bay
Return to Hanoi and continue to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise.
Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi / Fly to Hue
After a sunrise morning on the boat deck we disembark and visit nearby sites of interest.
Day 9: DMZ Tour
Head to a museum that details the events of the Vietnam War and visit a peaceful cemetery.
Day 10: Hue Cycling Tour – Hoi An
Take an easy bike ride along the back roads of Hue to see local life and visit the Imperial Citadel.
Day 11: Half Day Hoi An Tour
Explore the hidden treasures and well known sites of historic Hoi An
Day 12: Hoi An – Danang / Fly to Ho Chi Minh City – City Tour
Drive to Danang and take a flight to HCMC where we embark on an insightful city tour.
Day 13: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnel
Today we explore a number of significant religious structures and head down into the incredible Cu Chi tunnels.
Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta – Can Tho
Leave HCMC for the Mekong Delta where we navigate the water on a small local boat and trundle along the roads in a horse drawn cart.
Day 15: Can Tho – Ho Chi Minh City – Departure
Cruise through the delta’s colourful markets to see a range of fruits, vegetables and goods for sale before returning to HCMC for a departure flight.
