Our tour in a country often referred to as the ‘Kitchen of the World’ introduces the salivating street food, visits cooking schools and enters local homes to connect with the Vietnamese people at an intrinsic level. To understand Vietnam, you must understand its food. This program will leave every visitor with masterful culinary skills, and a profound appreciation of the country.
Tour Schedule
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrive in Hanoi to enjoy a welcome dinner.
Day 2: Hanoi Street Food Tour
Visit a local market and dine on fresh street food before visiting a famous restaurant for dinner.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Feast on delicious ‘pho’ for breakfast. Drive to Halong Bay to enjoy an evening dinner cruise. Overnight onboard the boat.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi/Fly to Hue – Imperial Dinner
Wake up and practice Tai Chi on the boat deck. Explore the limestone karsts spread throughout the sea before departing for Hue.
Day 5: Hue Dong Ba Market – Transfer to Hoi An
Explore the fascinating historical sights of Hue and it local food markets.
Day 6: Hoi An Walking Tour – Cooking Class at Red Bridge School
Pick up ingredients from a local market and spend the day at a legendary cooking school learning how to prepare them.
Day 7: Hoi An – Danang/Fly to Ho Chi Minh City
On arrival at HCMC we visit the former Presidential Palace and peruse the many sights of this charming city.
Day 8: Cao Dai Temple – Cu Chi Tunnels
Explore the unique and magnificent architecture of Cao Dai Temple and visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels.
Day 9: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Bassac Cruise
Drive to Can Tho and board ‘The Bassac’ to see local village life around the Mekong Delta.
Day 10: Can Tho – Saigon Departure
After a night onboard The Bassac, we say goodbye to rural life and head back to Saigon.
