VIETNAM TO CAMBODIA – 14 DAYS / 13 NIGHTS

Hanoi is our starting point for this tour through Southeast Asia from Vietnam to Cambodia. Winding our way south we embark on a walking tour of Hanoi, overnight cruise in Halong Bay and explore the historical streets of Hoi An amongst other exciting pursuits as we uncover Vietnam from head to tail.

From the Mekong Delta we head north into Cambodia. Siem Reap provides the ideal base from which to explore the ancient wonders of Cambodia. Not only are there millennia of compelling architectural and cultural enigmas to explore, but the town of Siem Reap also offers exceptional cuisine, charming markets and welcoming locals. With over 100 temples on your doorstep to peruse, we start early to visit a selection of the very best, from Bayon Temple to Ta Phrom and of course, Angkor Wat.

Tour Schedule

Day 1: Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi

Embark on a day tour of Hanoi. We visit the Temple of Literature, the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and visit Ngoc Son Temple next to Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay

Depart for Halong Bay to experience an overnight cruise amongst its staggering karst landscape.

Day 4: Halong Bay

We visit famous grottos and caves in Halong before returning to Hanoi for a flight to Danang.

Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hoi An

Explore the ancient architecture and sights of Hoi An, including the 400 year old Japanese bridge and Phuc Kien Hall.

Day 6: Danang

Today we visit the Marble Mountain followed by a tour of Danang. Then travel by road to Hue, the ancient Vietnamese imperial capital.

Day 7: Hue

Embark on a boat trip on the romantic Perfume River where we visit two important religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda and the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang.

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City

Travel to Ho Chi Minh City where we visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and sample delicious local food at a nearby restaurant. Also visit a number of historical buildings including the Notre Dame.

Day 9: Mekong Delta

Travel into the Mekong Delta, a world where everything is designed to float on the water. We ride in a “Xe Loi” – a typical type of vehicle found in the area.

Day 10: Mekong Delta

Take an early morning boat ride along the canal tributaries to a local flea market. We then transfer by road to Chau Doc.

Day 11: Mekong Delta

Today we take a speedboat along the Mekong River to Cambodia. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant close to the border.

Day 12: Phnom Penh

On arrival to Phnom Penh we take a flight to Siem Reap. In the afternoon we visit the mighty Angkor Wat Temple.

Day 13: Siem Reap

Continue temple touring with a visit to Banteay Srey and Bantey Samre.

Day 14: Siem Reap Depart

We visit Ta Phrom Temple before departing from Siem Reap Airport in the afternoon.
