A former Royal Capital, this cultural heart of Laos is blessed not only with some magnificent temples that dot the rugged landscape, but also a former Royal Palace. Now a National Museum, we visit the resplendent building to dig further into the cultural history of the region. This is an excellent tour for those who want to combine the enigmatic culture of Laos with some of Asia’s most picturesque vistas. Nowhere else in Asia is the land so lush, graced with a mountainous backdrop, interspersed with golden stupas and home to an excellent selection of French inspired cuisine.
Tour Schedule
Day 1: Luang Prabang Arrival
Our guide will greet guests and allow plenty of time to explore the town at leisure
Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave
Depart on a journey downstream to the legendary Pak Ou Caves, stopping at a nearby village to learn how to make traditional Lao rice wine.
Day 3: Luang Prabang City Tour – Departure
Wake up early to give alms to Buddhist monks – a very rewarding and memorable occasion to partake in. Continue to a neighboring country or transfer for a connecting flight home.
