This 13 day adventure takes guests from the thriving heart and pioneering capital of Beijing, through the historic center of Xi’an before returning towards Shanghai to explore the charming cities of Nanjing, Hangzhou and finally, Shanghai itself. We experience the contrast of breathtaking antiquity in one of the world’s oldest civilizations with the achievements of modern day China. Beijing and Shanghai represent its pioneering business attitude and ambition, while Xi’an takes guests back to a period no less ambitious, but overflowing in rich cultural beliefs and prowess. Tour Schedule
Day 1: Arrival to Beijing
Day at leisure following your arrival at the hotel.
Day 2: Beijing
Visit some of Beijing’s most famous historical sites and dine in the evening at a legendary duck restaurant.
Day 3: Beijing
Visit the Great Wall of China before stopping at modern day sites of interest such as the Olympic Park.
Day 4: Beijing – Xi’an
Continue exploring the fascinating city of Beijing before flying to Xi’an.
Day 5: Xi’an
Visit the historic Terra-Cotta Warriors in Xi’an and stop at a nearby ancient temple.
Day 6: Xi’an – Nanjing
After breakfast we transfer to the airport and fly to Nanjing.
Day 7: Nanjing
Today we tour many of the ancient sites and tombs still present today in the city – including the old town are at the Confucious Temple.
Day 8: Nanjing – Hangzhou
We take China’s riveting high speed train from Nanjing to Hangzhou.
Day 9: Hangzhou
After breakfast we embark on a splendid afternoon cruise and later explore the streets of Hangzhou.
Day 10: Hangzhou – Suzhou
Take the high speed train from Hangzhou to Suzhouin where we visit an ancient city and a silk factory.
Day 11: Suzhou – Shanghai
We then take the high speed train to Shanghai to explore this fascinating cosmopolitan city.
Day 12: Shanghai
Visit wonders such as the Jade Temple Buddha and walk alongside the Bund River.
Day 13: Shanghai – Departure
After breakfast we transfer to the airport.
