Laos to Vietnam – 11 DAYS / 10 NIGHTS
Laos and Vietnam embody the beauty, flair and tantalizing cuisine that Southeast Asia is renowned for. Our tour of these two exceptional countries commences in the historical UNESCO city of Luang Prabang, nestled in the temple strewn hills of Northern Laos. From here we cross east to the stunning capital of Vietnam and picturesque streets of Hanoi.
Vietnam presents a varied landscape featuring an unbroken coastline more than 2,000 miles long, with so much to offer the inquisitive traveler. Our tour takes you from north to south, immersing in the exquisite culture, history and cuisine of Vietnam. Discover its hilly and densely forested inland regions, blessed with vast swathes of emerald green rice fields and home to welcoming local communities.
Tour Schedule
Day 1: Luang Prabang
Arrive at Luang Prabang and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Luang Prabang
Visit the famous temples of this UNESCO World Heritage City including Wat Xieng and Wat Sane. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the Mekong River in the evening.
Day 3: Luang Prabang – Hanoi
We wake up early (5:30am), to offer alms to the monks who walk through the city. We then visit the beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls before taking a flight to Hanoi in Vietnam in the afternoon.
Day 4: Hanoi
Embark on a city tour of Hanoi to discover its many famous sites.
Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Depart for Halong Bay to experience an overnight cruise amongst its staggering karst landscape.
Day 6: Hanoi – Danang
Fly to Danang from Hanoi. From Danag we drive to Hoi An. If time permits we shall visit the Buddhist Pagoda Con Son Nguyen Trai – a tribute to important political figures revered by the people.
Day 7: Hoi An
Explore the ancient architecture and sights of Hoi An, including the 400 year old Japanese bridge and Phuc Kien Hall.
Day 8: Danang
Today we visit the Marble Mountain followed by a tour of Danang. Then travel by road to Hue, the ancient Vietnamese imperial capital.
Day 9: Hoi An
Embark on a boat trip on the romantic Perfume River where we visit two important religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda and the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City
Travel to Ho Chi Minh City where we visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and sample delicious local food at a nearby restaurant. Also visit a number of historical buildings including the Notre Dame.
Day 11: Depart
Transfer to the airport.
