Myanmar offers colonial luxury wrapped in a mist of the tropical Far East. Still a newly accessible country with the most exquisite, untouched natural beauty, ancient wonders and gentle, kindly people, Myanmar hypnotizes travellers with its splendour. Our exceptional excursion through the Golden Land starts in the colonial capital and financial hub of Yangon.

Travelling north we pass through the stunning and expansive countryside, witnessing local life up high in the Shan Plateau. Our destination here is Inle Lake, a life providing water where literally everything floats – including the houses and markets. We continue to the ancient royal capital of Mandalay, a name that conjures the mystical romance of a bygone era. Before returning in a loop back to Yangon, we spend two nights at the stupa-laden plains of Bagan. A region blessed with 2,000 temples and religious buildings – a sight to behold.
